Exercising longer can lead to Weight Loss for New Mothers
Women fighting the post-pregnancy weight battle face a lot of challenges, not the least of which is just finding the time to exercise. New research conducted by Duke University suggests that exercising longer can result in long-term weight loss. While the idea of longer workouts may seem to conflict with an already hectic routine but that’s the only way to lose weight for a long time.
Exercising longer, fewer times a week works for new moms the most. A study from the National Institute of Health reinforces the concept that a regimen where women walk at least 150 minutes per week had better results than moderate-to-vigorous workouts of shorter duration. Women need energy and strength to care for kids, so in this regard exercising can lead to weight loss and muscle tone.
